Hello, Readers!
I am Ally Bolender, a sophomore student majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in writing at Texas State University.
I fell in love with English literature my senior year of high school, and carried the passion for reading and writing into my college academics. After taking technical writing classes, such as editing and professional writing, I found myself wanting to take on a professional writing career in journalism where I can showcase my love for writing.
I especially love reading literary journalism, horror fiction, and historical fiction. Stephen King is one of my favorite authors, but I also enjoy older works from Hemmingway and Steinbeck. I love reading books from all genres, and that will show in my recommended books. My goal is to share as many great books as I can and to inspire you to read something out of your comfort zone!
